1)    This police station was    created vide G.O.MS.No.115, dt. 25-06-2005 vide Chief Office Endt. No.92/R3/05, dt. 27-06-2005 in which the CTF personnel will be directly under the control    Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam City.

2)     Building: The Task Force Police Station was opened by Sri V.S.K.Kaumudi, I.P.S. the then Commissioner of Police,Visakhapatnam City on 14-11-2005       vide  G.O.MS.No.115, dt. 25-06-2005 vide Chief Office Endt. No.92/R3/05,dt.27-06-2005.

3)     Strength: The sanctioned strength of the police station is 1 ACP, 2 Inspectors, 2 SIs, 2 ASIs, 4 HCs, and 12 PCs (Total 23). The actual strength is 1 ACP,           1 Inspector, 1 SI, 5 HCs and 13 PCs (Total-21). 

4)     Guidelines for Functioning: In the year 2005 the then Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam City issued a circular memo in C.No.2438/A6/05,               dt.4-11-2005 regarding functioning of Task Force Police Station. Following are the guidelines:

    i)   To keep track of all rowdies and other anti-social elements, including communal elements and to assist the police stations for apprehending wanted criminals.

   ii)    Rowdy sheets shall be maintained at Task Force Police Station in addition to the sheets at the police stations.

   iii)    To keep watch on land grabbers.

   iv)    To complement the efforts of the civil police in curbing crime/social evils.

   v)    To be in readiness to deal with any law & order or communal situation.

   vi)    To assist in the arrest of hardcore offenders/accused.

   vii     Any other important assignments assigned by the Commissioner of  Police.
